COMMUNITY OUTREACH


√  The Food Share Program: A weekly food distribution program offering meat, fresh produce, and canned goods to hundreds of South Los Angeles residents. 
√  Foster Grandparent Program (FGP): A collaboration with Pepperdine University that offers a multigenerational approach to community volunteerism by providing meaningful experiences and important connections with seniors to volunteer with children and youth. 
√  CalWORKs Transitional Subsidized Employment: A partnership with South Bay Workforce Investment Board that provides on-the-job training  or individuals ages 18
and up.
√   Service Learning for High School and College Students: Students gain confidence, make a difference, engage in community service to earn new skills, take on new challenges, and meet professionals who expand their social capital.
√. Community Engagement and Outreach: Meet South Los Angeles residents in the field to provide resource linkages and referrals, community support, and housing assistance. 
√ Community Partnerships: Meet the community’s ever-changing needs by connecting with other organizations that provide a wide range of services and resources.
√  The Workplace Employee Wellness Program: Enriches employees’ physical, mental, emotional, and occupational well-being. It makes the work environment more supportive of healthy behaviors, like eating healthy, being physically active, and managing stress.
