YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

√ Project LEAYD (Leaders in Enrichment of Adolescent and Youth Development) 

Strengthens and promotes positive, healthy lifestyles and encourages responsible decision making among community at-risk youth ages 11 to 18. Safeness, Wellness, Readiness is the foundation of the curriculum. 

This initiative is a part of LA County's Ready-to-Rise Program, which is supported by funds diverted from Juvenile Detention Centers and the Sheriffs offices to investments in youth development.  GCLA was one of 20 chosen out of 170 applicants during the first year of the initiative in 2019.
